the BIG adventures of a little girl...

WELCOME to the world of Madeleine Mary, a charming little princess with a neverending smile, bright blue eyes, and an insatiable curiosity that keeps her parents constantly on their toes.

"Grown-ups never understand anything for themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them." - Antoine De Saint Exupery

Party Games

Some of the crowd played the traditional balloon volleyball game. Players from the 3rd, (mostly) 4th, and 5th generations had lots of laughs while playing. Even the 2-year-old crowd got involved when Daniel and Kaylee started carrying the water balloons to the players. Next year, maybe CC and I can get in on the action.

Morgan and Naomi caught the balloon, but Uncle John and Auntie Jenny were prepared to back them up.

Kaylee and I had our own game: Peek-a-boo THROUGH the big flag (you can see my shoe peeking out from under the white stripe). We thought that was a pretty fun game.

Daddy tried to get the three of us to play his favorite game, Lump on a Bog, but only Kaylee seemed interested. Daniel and I put our heads down for a few seconds...and did our fake snoring. Kaylee didn't last much longer. I did sit pretty quietly on the blanket with Daddy during the balloon game. That was close enough to a nap for me.
