the BIG adventures of a little girl...

WELCOME to the world of Madeleine Mary, a charming little princess with a neverending smile, bright blue eyes, and an insatiable curiosity that keeps her parents constantly on their toes.

Day 1 at the Fair

Mom & Daddy took me to the fair. We spent most of our time in the animal barns, especially at the kiddie barn with the baby animals.

I loved this calf. He surprised me a little when he let out his big MOOOOOOOOOOO. It didn't sound anything like when I moo! I saw baby bunnies, but I wasn't sure about petting them even though Mom and the bigger kids were. I still found them pretty amazing. I also liked to quack at the ducklings. I did touch one of them. I also snorted at the pigs plenty. Every time I looked at the sheep, I said "Sheep, sheep, sheep." There were so many little animals to talk to!

I was either smiling or saying, "Orr, Orr!" the whole way through the horse barns. Daddy kept pointing out all the tiny ones that were my size, but I like the BIG ones.

We also ate "Fair Food" like corn dogs, Uff-Da Tacos (Daddy's obsession), funnel cake, and the best French Fries ever...except for Daddy's, of course!

Grandma Mary was working at the fair, so we stopped in at her building. She gave me a bobble-head pig. He's fun...I snort at him a lot. The pig noise is my favorite to imitate, closely followed by the snake.

By the time we had done all of this, looked at most of the exhibits, went through the the industrial displays, talked to people we knew, and visited Grandma one more time, it was getting dark. I was ready for bed.

Mom & Daddy said we could come back again tomorrow and Saturday when Auntie Sherry is here. I can't wait!
