the BIG adventures of a little girl...

WELCOME to the world of Madeleine Mary, a charming little princess with a neverending smile, bright blue eyes, and an insatiable curiosity that keeps her parents constantly on their toes.

"Grown-ups never understand anything for themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them." - Antoine De Saint Exupery

A Trip to Egli's Sheep Farm/Animal Park

Today Daddy, Mom, Boppa, Grandma, Auntie Sherry, and I went to the sheep farm. It was exciting to see this barn because Mom has the same picture on a t-shirt, and she's told me I'd be here soon.
They have a lot more than sheep here...like this big elk. He followed Daddy around a little. Mom tried to take a picture of them walking together (don't worry, the elk is in a pen), but the elk refused to be photographed looking friendly with Daddy.
He was interested in a standoff, however. It ended when too many of us came over, so the elk started showing off more.
Mom got some video of him rubbing on the ground (to be shared soon). It was pretty cool to watch.
Mom thought the swans were pretty...my opinion was more like this...
Running on to the next animals...I was looking for pigs. I love to see pigs! Grandma even got me a stuffed Wilbur the Pig at the end of our tour.
Sheep...our reason for being here. I do like the sheep. And their slippers...Boppa, Grandma, and Auntie Sherry all have some slippers from this place that I "borrow" from time to time.
Daddy is a Goatboy (when playing trivia in Grand Marais or when Mom thinks he needs a shower), so it's no wonder he and this little guy got along so well.
I loved the goats too. Auntie Sherry and Grandma helped me feed them some grass (watch for the video on that too). It was so much fun, I squealed!
The goats didn't want me too leave. They ran after us screaming! Sorry, kids, I'd have stayed longer if I could have.
What a pretty little horse...unfortunately no rides for me today.
I would tell you what a llama says, but everyone laughs at the noise. I learned from watching Diego and his friend Linda the llama. Mom calls all the llamas Linda now. Daddy calls them Tina, ya fat lard. In the background, you can see an Alpaca - like a llama, but smaller and woolier.
Some of the chickens were free range. Or someone accidentally left their pen open, we're not sure, but they were on the loose when we got there. I kept trying to catch this one. Chicken strips are one of my top 10 favorite foods.

Where's the photos of all those pot bellied pigs that Maddie loved so much?
