Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Our celebration started on Saturday afternoon when we went to the St. Patrick's Day parade after Daddy got home from work. Here I am, ready for the parade to start. I almost fell asleep, so Daddy took me out of my stroller. That was more fun.

There were puddles!

Here comes the parade, starting with the firetrucks...

Daddy helped me to see better. Apparently, people who show up late think they not only need to make a new front row, they also don't care about blocking the view of kids behind them. Good thing I have a tall Daddy!

The Gorillas were my favorite. I wanted them to come back and hang out with me, but they had to keep moving.

This guy had the coolest candy catcher ever! Mom says when I understand better about treats thrown at parades, Daddy might have to make us one of those.

Here's Grandma Mary on a float for the historic village. She didn't see us, but that's okay. I was splashing in puddles at the time, so I missed her too. We caught up with her after the parade.

Mom's favorite Italian place had her favorite float.

Hey, Boppa! Ever heard of this place?!?

Daddy didn't get home in time for us to get a tethered balloon ride, but the lower half of the balloon was on a float. It was far more exciting to watch them make fire in the sky. I'm a pyromaniac just like Grandma Gina, Aunt Dan, and Daddy (listed in order of their pyro tendencies)!

Bye-bye, Gorillas! Bye-bye, Lions! Bye-bye, Fire. Bye-bye, balloons! And several more bye-byes to the gorillas since I loved them so much.

For actual St. Patty's day, we enjoyed some corned beef and cabbage (Mom & I liked our carrots the best!). It's Daddy's tradition, and we invite available anyone who wants to come. Mom says the more the merrier so we have few leftovers. Aunt Karen can always be counted on to eat the corned beef and cabbage meal with us. This year we also had Grandma Gina, Grandma Mary, and Boppa (who missed his Muskie meeting to be here. I wonder, was it me or the Irish food that convinced him to show up?!?).
