More Vacation Fun

Guess what?! I'm running again. I'm just not sure where to go first, the swings, the slide, the teeter totter.... decisions, decisions!
They call me Willy Wonka when I wear my sunglasses, but I know I look gooooood.
The slide, I do so love the slide. Especially walking up it. Ladders are for babies.
Some crazy people I know (Daddy & Aunt Dan) went fishing in this weather. It was windy enough for me just trying to slide!
These swings are not easy to climb on by yourself. They need some nice wooden ones here.
"Thank choo, Mom," for the help. This is a fun way to swing!
We went to find Grandma at her cabin, and Mom decided to take a new picture of me for Daddy. He's very big into rock pictures. Or is it he's into big rock pictures?
Boppa & Grandma had lots of apples on their tree. I did my part to help control the apple population. My friend Bob from the lodge (or SpongeBob as I call him) was going to harvest the rest.

Hmmm...Mom didn't get a picture of me and SpongeBob this year. I wonder how the picture his mom took of us turned out. Maybe we could get a copy to put on here.
**If you click on the "Canada" label below, you can easily find the photo of SpongeBob with me last year.

At Boppa & Gramma's Cabin

Saturday, we moved from the lodge to CAMP RUN-A-MUK, also known as Boppa & Gramma's Canada cabin. Well, all of us except for Aunt Dan who went home.
Daddy & Boppa went back to the lodge to drive the boats over, so I wanted to go watch them. I had Mom give me an apple off the tree, and then I tried scooting down to the dock.
Here comes my daddy! Boppa wasn't too far behind him. It was so pretty up there, I don't know why we came home...
Hey, Morgan! I really like this soccer thing.

I mean really, really like it! I could do this all day.
Some of these other sports are kind of fun too...
Second year in Canada, second picture at the sign. We forgot to get one of us at the lodge this year though. Daddy, Aunt Dan, and Boppa usually have a fish picture taken, but I don't think they remembered this year either.

Boating in Canada

Daddy let me drive the boat. Not really on to the lake because of the wind, but I got to sit in there for a little while anyhow. I'll take any kind of DRIVE, DRIVE, DRIVE time I can get!
I tried to drive Boppa's boat, but I guess I have not been checked out on it yet. Maybe if I backseat drive enough he'll give me a chance.
Cinder(ella), the lodge puppy out for a swim. I really liked her; she's young and likes to play a lot. They have another dog, Belle, and a cat named Ducky. Belle looks like Shadow only with longer hair. Ducky was fun to pet; she doesn't run away from me like Grandma Mary's kitties do.

A Trip to Egli's Sheep Farm/Animal Park

Today Daddy, Mom, Boppa, Grandma, Auntie Sherry, and I went to the sheep farm. It was exciting to see this barn because Mom has the same picture on a t-shirt, and she's told me I'd be here soon.
They have a lot more than sheep here...like this big elk. He followed Daddy around a little. Mom tried to take a picture of them walking together (don't worry, the elk is in a pen), but the elk refused to be photographed looking friendly with Daddy.
He was interested in a standoff, however. It ended when too many of us came over, so the elk started showing off more.
Mom got some video of him rubbing on the ground (to be shared soon). It was pretty cool to watch.
Mom thought the swans were pretty...my opinion was more like this...
Running on to the next animals...I was looking for pigs. I love to see pigs! Grandma even got me a stuffed Wilbur the Pig at the end of our tour.
Sheep...our reason for being here. I do like the sheep. And their slippers...Boppa, Grandma, and Auntie Sherry all have some slippers from this place that I "borrow" from time to time.
Daddy is a Goatboy (when playing trivia in Grand Marais or when Mom thinks he needs a shower), so it's no wonder he and this little guy got along so well.
I loved the goats too. Auntie Sherry and Grandma helped me feed them some grass (watch for the video on that too). It was so much fun, I squealed!
The goats didn't want me too leave. They ran after us screaming! Sorry, kids, I'd have stayed longer if I could have.
What a pretty little horse...unfortunately no rides for me today.
I would tell you what a llama says, but everyone laughs at the noise. I learned from watching Diego and his friend Linda the llama. Mom calls all the llamas Linda now. Daddy calls them Tina, ya fat lard. In the background, you can see an Alpaca - like a llama, but smaller and woolier.
Some of the chickens were free range. Or someone accidentally left their pen open, we're not sure, but they were on the loose when we got there. I kept trying to catch this one. Chicken strips are one of my top 10 favorite foods.

Are We There Yet?

So I heard a rumor we're going vacation today, but so far we don't seem to be moving too fast. Guess I'll sit on this new chair Daddy left here while I wait. I asked for Mumble first thing today, but Mom stuck me with Happy Monster Band (YAY!) and Imagination Movers (Who are these guys?!?).
These Imagination dudes aren't so bad. They like to dance almost as much as Mumble...a little slower though, but it's kind of fun.
Dance, dance, dance...I'm a dancing machine...
If we don't leave soon, I may want to stay and keep learning new dances moves!
Guess what, we're finally on the move. It's a long trip, but I have some friends to keep me company. Auntie Sherry brought me some SpongeBob stories and Mom packed Diego. These things are fun and all, but how much farther is it to Canada?

The Little Astronaut

When we drove into the parking lot, Daddy & Mom spotted my latest ride. Daddy made sure to park right next to it so no one could beat us to it (like last time when I had to glare at the little boys who stole my blue truck cart). I loved being able to steer, honk my horn (saying Beep, Beep), AND still be right by Daddy & Mom as they pushed the cart. It was the best trip to the grocery store EVER. Too bad it wasn't longer!

Hmmm...do you think I can I back this puppy into the cart corral for Mom? I bet I could if I could only find REVERSE.

Ox Hunting We Will Go!

We set out Sunday to find the last three . We even made it to two of them!
Meet Babe the Green Ox. I liked this one because he was next to a little Paul Bunyan statue and near the real Paul's giant shoes.

Here's the front of the the green ox. This one was donated by the same company as one called Windy who stands near a wind turbine just like the one on this Babe's front leg.

And the back. You can't quite see, but he has a giant solar panel across the top of his back. He is green after all!

Next we have Fanny, Paul Bunyan's Caddy. I really liked her massive, red lips!

Fanny from the front...she sure has some fancy socks.

A better look at Paul's clubs.
Don't the pearls just make the outfit?!?

Okay, I can be a bit of a nut sometimes. I like to peek around and through tables legs, fences, tree branches. Usually Mom isn't lucky enough to have a camera in hand to capture my antics.

Off we went to find the last one, unfortunately, we didn't know it was only about 2 minutes from the Green Ox. Over half an hour later, I was asleep and still no ox! Mom's blaming Google's directions. Sometimes, especially with more rural areas, they're WAY, WAY, WAY off base. Don't worry, we'll figure out where it is. We can't miss the last one!
While we were on our wild ox chase, I used my backpack for a hat.

Color! Color!

Lately, my mornings go a like this: I get up (too early), I snuggle with Mom for about 10 minutes, I drink my milk, and then I shout, "Color! Color!" Mom keeps my crayons on a shelf. I guess I colored in one too many books instead of sticking to my "color papers" (also known as coloring books).
I've pretty much figured out not to color in regular books (but I still do it from time to time), and I will steal any piece of paper I see. I even stole the note pad off the fridge. Sometimes I like to draw instead of coloring someone else's pictures! Last week, I brought the green crayon to Mom and said, "Green." She was impressed...then I handed her the blue crayon and said, "Green." To me they're all green.
Daddy came to color with me the other night. He's never done that before. We had a lot of fun! He tried to teach me the names of all the different crayons. I can say blue, red, yellow, purple, and even orange, but I still call them all green! I love to mess with my parents.
