Some Pics From Aunt Dan's Birthday

We had fun celebrating with Aunt Dan on Monday night. Auntie Karen had a lot of candles to light. It was like a campfire without the s'mores. Daddy got so nervous her grabbed the fire extinguisher, but everything went okay.

With over 40 candles, I thought he might need some help to get them all out!

It was good cake. I think I know where my next birthday cake is coming from.

Here's the card from Delaney and me. Mom ran the computer, but I picked out the pictures, the inside message, colored it, and signed it with M & D. Making stuff is fun!

Little Red Hen

After Mom and I read "The Little Red Hen" today, I decided to draw my own chicken. How did I do?

Playing in the Rain

Mom & I were already outside playing when the rain started, so we took ours out of the Buggy. I love umbrellas, but have only got played with one at the store. I still think that Little Mermaid umbrella is mine and at home, even though Mom didn't put it in the cart.

Hide...

and peek!

We were singing in the rain, although we weren't singing "Singing in the Rain." We were actually singing "Jolly Holiday" from Mary Poppins.

There was lots of thunder, but never much rain the whole time we were out. I think we needed the umbrellas for about two minutes, but played with them much longer than that. And it was great fun!

Happy Anniversay, Boppa & Grandma Gina

Happy "You've Been Married Along Time" Day to Boppa & Gram. They've been married for 42 years now. Hmm...if Boppa is only 27 that means he was how old when they got married? Math still confuses me...
Enjoy your dinner at "Vicky's" for your special day!

Birthday Boys!

Today I get to celebrate TWO birthdays.

Mom's older brother, Aunt Dan, who is turning really old today. Plus Daddy's little brother, Uncle Brian who we won't pick on this year since he quit smoking and is coming for a long visit soon...plus he's younger than both my parents, so he can't be that old!

My First Craft Projects

Lately, I like to color cards and draw pictures for people. I've also really been wanting to use a scissors and glue. For Father's Day, Mom found some fun ideas at the Nick Jr site so I could make my own gifts for Daddy & Boppa...and use that cool stuff. With some help from Mom & Auntie Sherry I made these nice frames, complete with photos of me. Daddy's has Dora & the gang with a picture of Daddy & me in the boat. Boppa's was Yo Gabba Gabba (go, Brobee!) with a photo of me shooting bubbles while wearing my Ear Falls shirt that Grandma & Boppa got in Canada.
I can't wait to do more crafts...or just use my cool, blue scissors again!

Happy Father's Day!

Special wishes going out to my Daddy, Boppa, and Great-Grandpa Leo on this beautiful day. Hope you all spend the day doing something you enjoy!

Outside

We ( Mom, Delaney, and I) had a fun day outside. The weather was decent, the birds were happy, and the mosquitoes were busy elsewhere. I love playing by the lilac bushes...

but I hate the bees.

Time to blow the puffs around...

to make more of my favorite "flowers." I always try to pick some for Mom to put in a vase.

"Shadow, come get a drink of water, Shadow. " She usually listens when I tell her to do that.

Ant hills are pretty interesting, if you ask me.

New Obsession

We have all this great stuff around the house for my little sister. When she's not using it, I think it's only fair that I get a chance.

Dora & Boots needed a place to sleep. Diego & Baby Jaguar ended up in the lower section.

Mom says I can't turn on the swing when it's empty. Ha! It's not empty now; my baby is in there. I even used the Tweety hat on her.

Soccer, Anyone?

Grandma Gina got me this cool soccer outfit (though Mom & Daddy say I look ready for the NBA in it), and finally could wear it outside. Mom thought I might want to change my footwear before kicking the ball around, but I don't see the problem.

Getting Mickey Wet

Over the weekend, Auntie Sherry wanted to use her new kayak, so Daddy and I decided to take out the boat. I was excited to have my Mickey pole along since it's only been used in the dirt. Mom & Delaney stayed on the dock because it was very hot, but they got pictures.
Notice when we first we headed out, Daddy held me on his lap. It didn't take long for me to decide that I should have my own chair.

Meeting up with Sherry on the lake...while a loon was diving around between us and Mom.

Getting Ready For Canada

Daddy and I have been doing lots of practice fishing with my Mickey pole (or pool as I call it).

I'm getting very good at casting and reeling up the little red fish.

Is it time to go after muskies yet, Boppa?

Boppa Hat

My Boppa had to be away for almost a month to have some surgeries. When he came back, he brought me a new camo hat with pink butterflies on it. I love my "Boppa hat" very much. I like to wear it outside to help keep bugs out of my hair. I rarely leave the house without having it on my head. Actually, it's on my head most of the time I'm in the house too...even during naps.

Is It the 4th Yet?

Grandma Mary got matching, but not identical, outfits for me, Delaney, and Daniel to wear for the family's 4th of July get together/celebration of my Great-Great-Grandpa Cecil's birthday. I couldn't let Mom put mine in the closet without me first trying it on! It's a great dress; I can dance, twirl, run, and probably even climb in it. Mom says I have wait until the 4th to wear it again, but after that I can wear it whenever I want...hmmm, every day maybe?

I Met Dora!

First sighting of Dora!
Going for a closer look.
Saying hi and meeting Dora and Boots.
Aren't we cute? They should add me on her show...
I like exploring too!
I was sorry to see her go, but Mom told me she and
Boots had to get some sticky tape to Tico to help fix his tire.
That sounded pretty important to me!
I went to meet Dora, and a baseball game broke out.
GO LUNKERS!!
Dora, Baseball, and I found some little girls to with in the bleachers.
I called them Anna, and they listened.
And after, I got to ride Dumbo.
How could I not be happy today?!?

Delaney's Day

It was Delaney's baptism today. We got to wear our pretty dancing dresses. As soon as mine was on, I started dancing around the house. I wanted Delaney to dance with me too, but Mom said she couldn't do that just yet.
She also can't eat cake just yet, but Daddy & Mom got her a pretty one with pink flowers. Mom said it was up to me plus my cousins, Daniel & Gunnar to eat it for her. No complaints here!
Daniel changed into his jammies before we took pictures. I really like his Cars jammies, though. Mom says Daniel really looks like his Mommy in this picture, and I look like when she was little and wore dresses...pulling up the hem all the time. It's not so bad to be like your Mommy, even if it is for something silly!

My Birdfeeder

Mom gave me a birdfeeder that sticks to the window by my bed. Sometimes we see a bird's silhouette in the morning before we open the shade. We like to get the shade up so we can watch the birds. If I'm playing in my room when one eats, I get Mom so she can see the birds too. This time she got pictures.

We've seen chickadees and nuthatches. Mom is trying to teach me the differences, but I still call them all chickadees. We had squirrels on there one day so Daddy moved the feeder much higher. I love birds (you should hear my blue jay imitation!). We watch them at Grandma's too...I see a lot of woodpeckers, goldfinches, and blue jays there. Those are the ones I know anyway. It's great to live in the woods!

My Beauty Shot

When the camera is out, I love to stick my face right up to the lens. Mom thought I look quite pretty, even with my messy bed head! So far, my good looks haven't gone to my head.

Walking With My Baby

Boppa gave me this great stroller and baby back on my birthday. I finally settled on a name for my baby...Delaney. That's what I call all of my babies now. Except my baby sister, she's "Maddie's Delaney."
I finally got to take her for a little walk. The whole family came along, but Mom and I stayed out longer so I could keep pushing the stroller. Mom was showing me some flowers when I heard some mosquitoes. I ditched her and the baby right there and ran for the house! I don't like anything that buzzes...or stings.

Wink, Wink!

I won't say if Imeant to do this or not, but it looks like I know what I'm doing!
