the BIG adventures of a little girl...

WELCOME to the world of Madeleine Mary, a charming little princess with a neverending smile, bright blue eyes, and an insatiable curiosity that keeps her parents constantly on their toes.

Spongebob, Bob, Lodge Boy, Tall-tale Tyler...

Yeah, you, Ty...have a happy birthday!

We'll see what name I call you this summer. Just think by next summer, my little sister will be able to nickname you too. Let's see if I can help her come up with a good one...Mom may have to help us...or we could ask Aunt Dan.

Anyway, we ALL wish you a great birthday, filled with lots of snow-related fun...after you finish your homework, that is!

Auntie Karen, I Hear You're 25

...again. Daddy made me do it. Or was is Mom? Anyway, have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! If you need help eating cake (or more importantly eating ICE CREAM), I'm your girl!
Remember, you'll always be 25 to me...it's not like I can count that high yet anyhow.

Oh No, Oh No!! Sorry, Daddy...

I don't know how it happened, Daddy. Somehow, your "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" didn't make it on here. Blame my assistant. Maybe we should fire that lady!

Anyway, Tuesday was Daddy's 37th birthday. He had to work all day. I woke up extra early so I could wish him a great birthday before he left the house. Mom and I went on a special shopping trip so I could pick out something just for Daddy. We couldn't find any Daddy's Girl type shirts in my size, so Mom helped me pick out something that Daddy would like almost as much...I now have an ACDC t-shirt to show that Daddy & I like the same music! I also got him a movie he likes that I can watch too. Mom had already given him her gift...she made sure his snowmobile got fixed so he can still go on his trip (and he can take me riding some).

We made him a nice pork chop and apples dinner, though he had to help a little bit when Mom stuck the apple slicing knife into her finger...usually it's Daddy's job to cut himself, but Mom was thinking about what else we had to do instead of watching what she was doing. Next thing she knew, there was a chef knife in her pinky!

We finished dinner with a nice helping of cream puffs, complete with candles (or Happy Birthdays as I call them) so Daddy could make his birthday wish. Before the night was over, I sang the birthday song to him. We were all so busy having fun that no one took any pictures. I think Daddy had a very nice birthday (even though my message to him didn't get posted here), plus he even got to take the dinner leftovers for lunch the next day...he was quite happy about that!

My Second Birthday is Coming!

Soon I will be two-years-old! Wow the time has gone by so fast. Mom & Daddy said I get to have a party on February 1, which also happens to be Super Bowl Sunday. That's when we had my party last year too.
Maybe I'll get a really special gift, and my "Football Vikings" will be playing that day. Who's with me...clap your hands if you believe!

A-Sledding We Will Go

It's relatively nice out today, though the six inches of snow we're supposed to get so far is only two inches of snow. Something is starting again, but it's more sleetish right now. Since it is a little warm, Grandma G thought I should get out and test one of the sleds I got for Christmas (one for me from Auntie Karen & Aunt Dan, one at Grandma's, and Dan & Karen have one for me at their house). Daddy came out with us and got some photos and a little video. So, here I am...
