the BIG adventures of a little girl...

WELCOME to the world of Madeleine Mary, a charming little princess with a neverending smile, bright blue eyes, and an insatiable curiosity that keeps her parents constantly on their toes.

Oxtrot: A View Of Blue

Meet my friend, A View Of Blue. This Babe is permanently located in The Bobber Park. Mom & Daddy forgot to check to see if you could get a shot of this one and the bobber water tower together. We may have to go do that soon. Mom did get a nice picture of Babe, Daddy, and me while I sat in Paul Bunyan's chair. It was comfy...and tall. The sign on it says climb at your own risk, so I took them up on it. Daddy was a bit nervous, so he stuck veryveryclose.

I like giving the Babes kisses and hugs!

Here's A View Of Blue from the front. The high school art club did a great job with the fishing scene.

And the back...

Look, Mom, a Dave star!

More Singin' and Dancin' and Movin'...

For the last few days, I've been asking to sing, but nobody gets the game out for me. They just get me to sing Elmo's theme song or Frosty or something. Today I had enough, and kept saying to Mom, "Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please? Singing, please?"
I guess 10 times is her limit because she hooked the game up, and we played until Daddy came home. Right after dinner, I wanted to play again. Since Daddy missed out earlier, we played again.

I was so happy I started dancing! I even did a little of the Elmo and Frosty songs. Very little, and very quietly, but still. Another day, I'll do more of it. When Mom isn't there with a camera. Hee hee...

Maddie?

So I've been sent these photos recently because a friend says they make her think of Maddie. The dancing one came a few days after Mad & I spent some time with my friend, Tina and her son, Noah. Mad had a great time there, even coming home with parting gifts (Thanks, Tina. Life is not complete until you can watch Dumbo at least twice a day!). She loved playing with Noah, or as she called him, Boy. When it came time to leave, she didn't say goodbye to either of the people or the plethora of dogs.

She did however have a brief conversation with an angel statue that was about her size. She called it Baby, and made sure to say "Bye, Baby!" several times before it was out of sight. The discussion must have been classified, because Mad still hasn't mentioned what they were talking about.

Of all the days not to have the camera with us!

Happy Birthday, JACK

Today my special friend, Jack, turns 2!

Anyway, since I'm not there to sing for you in person, I found someone else to do the honors...

P.S. This picture is actually from Morgan's grad party in June. Mom & Daddy weren't much help blogging that month, so this is my first chance to show off his picture.

Ox Row

Here we are with SCUBA OX, appropriately located outside the diving school. This is one of Mom & Daddy's favorites. I liked all the fish. I checked everywhere, but I didn't see Dory or Nemo though.

SCUBA looks pretty hot in those goggles. I need to get some of those.

Here it is from the front. You can see the flippered hooves better from this side.

Here we have Jackson PollOx. I thought the paint splatters felt really cool. He went into the ox auction and was sold for $700.

Located between SCUBA and Jackson was Jaycee the Ox. Jaycee was also auctioned, but he went for $800.

Jaycee had a big fish for part of his tail!

More local scenes on the other side.

And some on his back side!

Oxtrot Update

So, the tour is over, and nine of the Babes have new homes. It's probably time to hurry up and post more of our pictures already!

Meet Doc Ox. He used to live right next to Sweet Tooth, but Doc now has a new home. He was sold for $800 at the ox auction. I was asleep when we got there. It was after lunch. The drive was long. I get sleepy in the car!

Okay, I'm awake now...and excited to see another "Ock!"

A solo photo of Doc Ox.

Check out his I.D. badge. I really liked the little star pin that keeps it on his shirt!

And here is Doc's old neighbor Sweet Tooth. After the pictures, Mom & I shared some ice cream. Daddy was still too full from lunch.

Ya gotta love her Banana ears. At least I did, but then I am a big banana fan.

I need a closer look at that nose ring...

Looks real, donut?!

My New Nickname

Mom & Daddy said I could make the big announcement: we're going to have a new baby in the family. People like to call me big sister now. I'm not quite sure what that means, but everyone sure smiles a lot when they say it too me. Mom says I'll understand it all a lot better toward the end of April, but that didn't help me much...I don't even know when April is! I do love babies though.

Here's our first picture of our new baby, known for now as our little Snickerdoodle (Snick for short). When it came up on the monitor (yep, I got to go to the doctor's office with Mom & Daddy), I said, "Baby!" right away. In December we should be able to find out if I'll have a little sister or brother. And Aunt Dan will find out if he's going to be an uncle this time.

One of the greatest gifts
That life can give to anyone
Is the very special love that families share...
Few gifts in life
Will last as long
Or touch the heart as deeply
As the very special gift
Of family.

A Pig Full of Nickels

Mom had an extra piggy bank, so she gave it to me. She even gave me some money to put in it. I get all Mom & Daddy's nickels to put in my pig. I love putting money in my bank. But, once it's all in, I scream for MORE money to put in. Nickels grow on trees, don't they?

MOM'S NOTE: I should have known we were in trouble when she started looking for the button to make her money come out of the pig...so she could put it back in again. Someone has been playing with the toy cash register and colorful coins at Grandma's house a little too much. You know the kind, put in the money, press the button, open the drawer, take out the money, put it in again...over and over and over. She'll learn soon enough...and then she'll be after our quarters!
