Grandma Mary had a special party for Uncle Brian before he leaves to spend his last week in Minnesota visiting Morgan, Gunnar, and Daniel. Daddy was in charge of making his famous ribs (he is the Rib King, and very proud of it...once, Mommy said someone else's ribs might be only just as good as his, and he got very jealous and upset). Mommy gave me some cut up pieces of meat on my plate, but after watching everyone else eating a whole ribs...I tried to snatch a bite off Mommy's as it was passing me. She let me take a little taste, and after a couple of those, I took the rib and finished the entire thing. And not the girlie way Mommy does with stuff left on the bone. I did it Daddy's way, and cleaned that thing completely.
It was a fun and loooooooong day for me, but very worth it. I got to play with Uncle Brian all day (he likes blowing bubbles in the house too), and kept everyone busy while I tried to sneak outside, off the deck, or in the cooler to steal ice (tasty stuff!). I barely even took a nap.At dinner, we were joined by Great Grandpa, Great Gommie, Uncle Mike, Uncle Tony, and my (second)cousin Matt. Uncle Tony and Matt brought their dog Rusty. He's a puppy, but as tall as me...he trampled me once. No black eyes this time, though. Then we still played more, and I was trying to get even by getting him in trouble. I got him to follow me down the hall, then we'd come running back so the adults could see him grabbing my arm or the seat of my pants (Coppertone moment not captured on film). Mommy told him to play nice, and me to play fair. We both ignored her. It was a great day, and by the time we left, I was falling down tired. Not that I let that stop me.
Daddy saw on Daniel's blog that Uncle John's ribs were the best. When he got done laughing, he said I should tell Daniel to tell his daddy to bring it...
