A Bunny, a Braid, and a Big Attitude

This is the bunny Marie, Zed, Bob & Alex gave me last year in Canada. He's very fun!
If I press his tummy, he sings to me. Depending on the song, I may dance, point to my nose (when Bunny mentions his nose), giggle, or...

give Bunny hugs!!!

A look at my first braid. Mommy tricked me into sitting still long enough to get a short braid in, but then she had to quick bind it up before I ran away. Everyone knows I can't sit still for more than 30 seconds. There are too many things to see and do in a day!

NO MORE PICTURES!

That's it! Gimme the camera.

Bubbles! (P.S. Daddy Did My Hair)

The Easter Bunny brought us all bubbles. Daddy got a Peep bunny squeeze blower, Mommy's was the same kind but a big snail, and mine was Dora. Mine doesn't squeeze, but when you open it, the wand pops right up from the bottle. You don't have to take it out and get wet hands. I'm not so great at blowing bubbles just yet, but I really like to catch them. When it gets a little warmer, we'll go outside to play with them. I can't wait for that! I'm already trying to sneak out whenever the big door is open. I know how to open the screen door myself, so I've tried to follow Daddy out to the grill...or maybe I'm just holding the door open until he comes back?!? I'm not telling.

Mommy's Little Helper

I'm a big girl now, and I really like to help vacuum, dust, Swiffer, today I tried to help brush Mommy's teeth, and I even stacked my lunch dishes!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone. It was my second Easter, and I knew a little more of what was going on for the day. At least I knew there was a party with a bunch of family, lots of food, and goodies from the Easter Bunny (Little People stuff, Dora animal crackers & bubbles, about 6 more books, new rubber ducky, socks & t-shirts for summer, a funny bird hat, juice boxes, tops, Tink stickers, and some other stuff).

We started the day off going to 8:00 Mass, and I decided to sing more than ever before. I sang quite loud with most of the songs. Sometimes, I tried to sing while Father Mike was talking. Mommy actually giggled when I babbled on during the a quiet moment. Daddy says this is the most unruly I've ever been, but I was just being loud in celebration of Easter.

After the excitement I fell asleep in the car on the way home, so Mommy and Daddy didn't get a picture of me right away. After I woke up, Daddy gave me animal crackers, and Mommy made me wear a bib to keep my dress clean. I was wearing my slippers, but that didn't stop me from putting on Daddy's shoes too. When I had both on, Mommy took a picture that she said made me look like Madeleine Potatohead because his shoes stuck out funny. I decided to post this photo instead because you can see me standing in the shoes better. Plus it really shows off the flowers in the bottom panel of my dress!

I was in my regular clothes for a while, but when Boppa and Grandma Gina got there, she changed me back to my Easter dress for the party. Aunt Dan & Auntie Karen were the next to show up, so I got to show off my dress to them and have some fun playing. Grandma Mary, Great-Gommie, Great-Grandpa, and Great-Uncle Michael, all came in one vehicle, so we were ready to eat. Good thing, because I was hungry for something more than animal crackers! After we ate, Boppa tried to get me to take a nap, but I was fighting hard. Aunt Dan apparently had the magic touch (or was it that he took me outside where it wasn't so warm?!), and I finally fell asleep.

So you know how the Easter Bunny brings eggs? I hear they'll be hidden next year, but this time they came in this package...

I opened the box, and found the funniest eggs I had ever seen...

Here's Daddy with his man-pretty, clean face (and his Easter honeys). I haven't really paid much attention to the difference, but Mommy says he really looks like his dad again.

Since Daddy doesn't have that mustache going any more, I thought I'd give it a try (with Grandma Gina's help!)...

I Don't Need No Stinkin' Naps!

Some days, I just don't want to take a nap, but Mommy knows the trick. Usually letting me hang out and read books does the trick. Not this time...I was waiting for the everyone to show up and play with me. Besides, I took that little nap in the car that continued for a bit after we got home. As far I'm concerned, that was my nap. Poor Daddy tried very hard to convince me to sleep. I didn't even go to sleep when Mommy set me up with my books, bear, blanket, and favorite pillow. But I did rest for a while, so that made everyone happy.

Funny Girl

Where's our Maddie-Maddie?
There she is!!

My favorite two games are Peek-A-Boo and trying to dress myself (though the latter is generally just picking up whatever clothes I find and putting on my neck like a shawl), so when I found this "hat" it found it's way on to my head.

Recently, I learned a new game: instead of tossing my food on the floor when I don't want anymore, now I sort it in to the little cups. And then move it from there to the middle, over to the next cup, to the middle, to a cup, to the other cup, to the middle, to the...you get the point. Maybe soon, I won't need a drop cloth anymore.

Clean Thursday

Daddy decided to give up shaving for Lent this year, just to see if he really could grow a beard. He really started sometime in January, so we were all curious to see how he'd look. He had Great-Gommie in his corner, but Mommy called him Patches, some guys at work asked him if he lost his razor, Auntie Jenny advised him to at least clean it up a bit, etc.
Mommy was sad to see his little "project" end. She told him to keep growing it if HE enjoyed it, but he said he was more than ready to be done.
Well, this was his final day of it, so you can judge for yourself if it was a success or not.

To Soothe The Angry Masses!

Okay, so we'll do some backtracking and other updating later, but Mommy's been getting too many comments about my slacking as of late (hey, just another way I'm like Daddy! hehe). Thank goodness Grandma Mary sent us some pictures from the Daniel's 2nd birthday party on Sunday!

Hanging out with Daniel pre-party. I think we were both quite happy in our present attire, but our mom just had to mess with us.

These are the toys we gave Daniel. I got the same airplane for my birthday, and thought it was really cool. Plus, the passengers look like they came from Hawaii, where Daniel was earlier this year. My cousin is really funny. He took the magnets out of the little school we gave him, and packed them in the airplane! Mom thinks I'm funny with my plane too because I usually let Joseph (from my Little People Nativity) fly the plane.

Daniel missed a card, so I was helping him open it. Don't worry it was from me. "Hey Cousin, What's invisible and smells like frosting? Birthday Burps!!" Did I mention that Daddy encouraged Daniel to burp once, so he did?! Auntie Jenny was so pleased.

This is Jack. I kind of liked him. He's about three months older than I am, and pretty cute! He's Daniel's cousin from Uncle John's side of the family, so it's all legal. I took his paci out a few times like I do to Daniel. I figure if I take it out, they might talk to me. Or at least I can see what they look like under there. Jack was tired, so I let him borrow my heffalump blanket since it looks just like his.

It was a pretty fun day, but let's not talk about the ride home. I was not very happy.
